Quds Bank commences business in its new branch in Bethlehem
Bethlehem – 02/09/2014 – Quds Bank has declared commencement of business and receiving of customers as of Tuesday, in its new branch in Bethlehem, Al-Mahad Street, whereas the number of branches has reached 27 branches and offices spread in various governorates of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The opening of this new branch comes within an expansion and branching plan in which the Bank seeks to apply throughout the year 2014, whereas the Bank has, since the beginning of this year, opened 5 branches and offices in the West Bank and Gaza. Moreover, the sixth branch will soon be opened in the governorate of Bethlehem.
Furthermore, Quds Bank General Manager, SameehSubaih, announced the launching of operations in the new branch officially as of Tuesday, and has added by saying: “we consider the year 2014 as a year of branching and expansion, whereas we will soon reach 27 branches and offices. Also, what truly distinguishes us is that we, at Quds bank, carefully study the needs of our customers in different regions, and the Bank’s continuation to open new branches and offices in light of difficult economic and political conditions is but an emphasis on the Bank’s commitment to continue building and investing, as well as its conviction to bypass difficulties with full resolve and determination in order to communicate its banking services to its customers wherever they are with high quality and outstanding performance”.
It is noted that Quds bank is currently the second largest local bank in Palestine and is considered as one of the most rapid growing banks in terms of size and other aspects with respect to generating profitability, services and businesses. On April 2nd, 1995 Quds Bank was established as a public share holding company, with a capital of US$ 20 million divided into 20 million shares at a nominal value of $1 for each share. On 26 July 2006, the Bank’s capital had been increased to 50 million U.S. Dollars, with the same nominal value, paid in full.
The Bank practices its business activities through its headquarters which is located in Ramallah, Al Massiyoun, as well as its various branches and offices spread all over the country.
