Ramallah, Palestine, XX December 2013: In line with its collaboration with MasterCard (newsroom.mastercard.com), Quds Bank, the second largest local bank in Palestine, today announced the launch of a suite of Debit, Credit and Prepaid cards in the Palestinian market. The launch comes in collaboration with the Middle East Payment Services (MEPS), as a payment solutions partner.
The event took place in Ramallah in the presence of AkramAbduLatif, Chairman, Quds Bank; DuriedJerab, Board Member, Quds Bank; Nabil Hamdan, General Manager, Quds Bank; Dr. Abdul MalekJaber, Chairman, MEPS; Basel El Tell, Market Manager, Levant, MasterCard; in addition to other members of the management team and representatives of the press.
The Quds Bank MasterCard suite of Cards offersa host of benefits to a diverse set of customers such as access to select regional and global airport lounges as well as insurance coverage which include fraud protection, extended warranty and purchase protection.

MasterCard and Middle East Payment Services (MEPS), a MasterCard Principal Member,had signed an alliance agreement earlier this year that will lead to an increase in MasterCard’s point of sale and ATM acceptance across the Levant region, thereby allowing more consumers to access MasterCard’s global payments network at merchant locations, ATMs, and on e-commerce channels.
